 ion-203">CiLCA Introduction</a>\nCiLCA is a professional qualification for
  Clerks and associated staff. It will help you become more aware of the la
 w\, planning and procedures for local councils and in turn give you the co
 nfidence to carry out the role to the best of your ability. The qualificat
 ion is one criterion the Council must meet before adopting the General Pow
 er of Competence. CiLCA is the Certificate in Local Council Administration
  awarded at Level 3 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) where i
 t is worth 20 credits. It doesn't matter what size your Council is\, they 
 all must adhere to the same regulations. Clerks have passed CiLCA with Cou
 ncil precepts of less than £3\,000. What work is involved and how long wi
 ll it take ? We deliver two CiLCA training courses a year via Zoom. They c
 omprise: a compulsory 'intro' module training session to be completed befo
 re you take the course (2 hours) 5 x 3 hour sessions covering each of the 
 modules in the portfolio Up to 2 hours of one-to-one time with trainer whi
 le portfolio is being compiled and submitted (this can be emails\, texts\,
  phone calls or face-to-face meetings) It should take between 6 and 12 mon
 ths to complete and submit your portfolio. Your portfolio is made up of 5 
 units\, with 30 learning outcomes (questions). COST: £250 to complete the
  training\, plus a £450 registration fee which is payable to SLCC (Societ
 y of Local Council Clerks). Delegates are expected to attend the introduct
 ory session where they will be able to assess if they are ready to take th
 is qualification. Your council will be invoiced when you register for Unit
