Emergency First Aid in the Workplace is an approved day-long course which covers :-
Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
Assessing an incident
Managing an unresponsive casualty
CPR
Recovery Position
Choking
Seizures
Shock
Wounds and bleeding
Minor injuries
Cuts, grazes, and bruises
Minor burns and scalds
The course is designed to teach you the skills required to comfortably and effectively offer CPR and First Aid in a real-life scenario.
At the completion of the course, delegates will receive a certificate (valid for 3 years), accredited by the First Aid Industry Body (www.faib.co.uk) and which meets Health & Safety (First Aid) 1981 regulations regarding duties as a first aider in a low-risk workplace.
£90 per delegate (member rate) £180 per delegate (non-member rate)

Please ensure that you have the council's agreement when booking a place, and that you are also following your council's own procedures.
All booked places will be confirmed with your Clerk.
Please note that sessions will only be run if there are sufficient bookings (usually from at least six delegates). Joining instructions will be sent two weeks (or more) before the event, and your booking is made as soon as we receive it (unless you are informed otherwise). Please note our cancellation policy (below).
If you wish to cancel your booking please give at least one week's notice to avoid your Council being charged in full. In the event of any emergency on the day please telephone the office.
