ONLINE Understanding Planning
This two-and-a-half-hour session will cover the basic principles of planning, and the framework within which it has been created and operates. Specifically tailored to the needs of local councils, and the local plans you are working with, it will cover:
* Permitted Development
* Planning Application Process
* Material Considerations
* Planning Policy Framework – NPPF, Local Plans, Neighbourhood Plans
* S106 Agreements and CIL
* Responding to an Application
* Determination and Outcomes of an Application
* Enforcement Action
* Neighbourhood Plans
Case studies will also be used.
This session will be led by Matthew Gleadell who has worked in this environment and particularly with the Parish and Town Council sector, for a number of years.
Cost: £50 per member council delegate, £120 per non member delegate
Venue: via Zoom online.
Please ensure that you have the council's agreement when booking a place, and that you are also following your council's own procedures.
All booked places will be confirmed with your Clerk.
Please note that sessions will only be run if there are sufficient bookings (usually from at least six delegates). Joining instructions will be sent before the event, and your booking is made as soon as we receive it (unless you are informed otherwise). Please note our cancellation policy (below).
If you wish to cancel your booking please give at least one weeks notice to avoid your Council being charged in full. In the event of any emergency on the day please telephone the office.
