The National Centre for Cyber Security (NCSC) has issued updated guidance to help individuals and organisations choose, set up and use video conferencing safely and securely. The Local Government Association also provide guidance and support on holding remote meetings.

ICCM Guidance on cemetery closure April 2020

The ICCM have produced guidance on the interpretation of the legislation regarding the closure of cemeteries during the Coronavirus outbreak which can be read here by logging into our website. We recommend that the decision as to whether to close or not be taken by the council with advice from the clerk.

Expected amendments to audit timelines for 2020

Following NALC's engagement with government around local council audit timeframes final regulations are due to be made the week commencing 6 April which will extend the statutory audit deadlines for 2019/20. It is proposed that:
