Electronic Meetings’ Summons To Become Lawful in England On 30th January

The Local Government (Electronic Communications) (England) Order 2015 will come into effect on 30th January 2015, thereby enabling the use of electronic communications in the sending of summonses to members of Parish Councils in England to Parish Council meetings.

Fit For Work

Fit For Work Begins

From December 2014 Councils, Employees and GP's have been able to access the new Fit for Work Occupational Health Assessment Service.

The initiative is being rolled out on a region by region basis and is expected to cover the whole of the UK by May 2015.

2014-2016 NJC National Salary Award

The National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC) has reached agreement on the following for staff employed under NJC conditions:

• New pay scales for 2014- 2016 to be implemented from 1 January 2015

•A non-consolidated (one off) payment for employees on SCPs 5 - 49 in December 2014 and employees on SCPs 26 - 49 in April 2015.
