Following the announcements yesterday, from 24 September, if you are running a village hall or community centre, this must close by 10pm, groups of no more than 6 are allowed, and those groups can't then mingle. Staff must also wear masks, as must customers, unless seated to eat or drink.

Local council meetings
Following the government announcement of further easing of lockdown restrictions from 4 July, as at 26 June both NALC and SLCC strongly advise local councils to continue to meet remotely, without the need for face to face contact. Last week a whole percentage point increase in the rate of borrowing from the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB) with immediate effect was announced.
The move has increased the rate for a PWLB 50-year new maturity loan from 1.81% to 2.82% overnight.

The Government has confirmed that the 3 year moratorium on the application of the referendum principles (sometimes known as "capping") to local parish and town councils is to continue for 2020-21.
