Electronic Meetings’ Summons To Become Lawful in England On 30th January

The Local Government (Electronic Communications) (England) Order 2015 will come into effect on 30th January 2015, thereby enabling the use of electronic communications in the sending of summonses to members of Parish Councils in England to Parish Council meetings.

Transparency Code for smaller authorities (£25k or less)

Government have now published the Transparency Code for smaller authorities, which can be found online using the link below:

This Code is issued initially as 'recommended practice' and Government are now commencing regulations with the intention of making the Code mandatory by the start of the 2015/16 financial year.
