A deadline is looming for Derbyshire's local councillors to complete the county's latest road safety survey.
As part of their review of the county's road safety structure, strategy and delivery, specialist agencies Agilysis and Traject are asking for the community perspective on this controversial topic, and their online survey can be accessed here.

What is the Communities Fund? A £2.5m pot over the next 2 years from DCLG to provide funding to local authorities working with community groups to deliver solutions to entrenched social issues for example relating to:
• Early intervention and high cost individuals
• Adult social care
• Children's Services
• Employment Support

The National Association of Local Councils has adopted a longstanding policy position that parish councillors should have the same rights as principal authority councillors to be able to claim the Dependants' Carers' allowance. At the moment parish councillors cannot reclaim monies under this allowance to pay for childcare and similar to attend parish council meetings. This is unfair as the same allowance... Read More »
