How to do a straightforward risk assessment for an everyday Council-run event and how to make it compliant, taking into account Martyns Law”

Why is Martyn’s Law Important?
Martyn’s Law, also known as the Protect Duty, is forthcoming legislation designed to improve security at public venues and events in the UK. It places a legal duty on event organisers and venue operators to assess and mitigate risks from terrorism and other serious threats. For Council-run events, this means ensuring your risk assessments consider security threats alongside traditional health and safety concerns.

This event is free and online. Please note the timing of the session. Joining instructions will be received once registered.
