This training session provides an overview of the key requirements for effective parish and town council meetings, with a particular focus on agendas, minutes, meeting procedures, and legal responsibilities. Delegates will gain a clearer understanding of the different types of council meetings, the role of Standing Orders, voting procedures, public participation, and the importance of accurate record keeping.

The course also explores how to prepare clear and compliant agendas, ensure decisions are properly recorded through minutes, and manage meetings confidently and professionally. Ideal for Clerks and Councillors looking to strengthen their knowledge of council meeting processes and governance responsibilities. 

Requirements  

We use Zoom for our training courses. You will need to download the Zoom application if you haven’t used it before https://bit.ly/3DeEeT5 

 

If it has been a while since you last used Zoom, it’s recommended that you log in early as there may be automatic Zoom updates that will delay your entry to the course.

Our online training is live and interactive, you must be in a place where you can do this safely. Driving whilst attending our online training will result in you being removed and your council will be charged the full cost of the course.
