In this follow-up session, Mark Tomkins focuses on the practical side of publishing accessible documents and content. Learn how to ensure your agendas, minutes, policies, and notices meet accessibility standards and how to choose the right file formats and publishing techniques. Mark will demonstrate how to align your practices with Assertion 10 requirements, including proper documentation under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Transparency Code for smaller authorities.
This session also covers best practices in email domain usage (e.g. clerk@yourcouncil.gov.uk), and the importance of having an IT policy to support secure, compliant council operations.
